Crypto Scams Spike in Ohio (Expert Warns Public)

Crypto scams are rapidly rising in Ohio, with reported cases jumping from just 45 in 2020 to over 1,800 in 2024, according to Dayton247 Now.

But experts say that’s just the beginning many victims never report being scammed.


Lionsgate Network CEO Bezalel Eithan Raviv warns that attackers often impersonate trusted sources to trick users and urges the public to stay alert and report suspicious activity.

“Most people don’t even realize they’ve been scammed,” Raviv said.

As crypto adoption grows, so do the risks awareness and quick action are key to staying safe.
